Fuse / E-MTB
E-bikes open up more possibilities, more laps, bigger adventures, and longer days in the saddle. With higher speed, more torque, and bigger impacts there is added stress put on every component. Fuse was built for riders who want reliability without compromise.
The Fuse has a ground up laminate that was specifically design for improved overload durability and an increase in deformation under load. Fuse is made to handle the unique forces of today's pedal-assist E-MTBs.
Fuse Specs
- Material: Carbon Fiber
- Size: 29”
- Hole Count: 28h & 32h
- Internal Width: 33mm
- Rim Depth: 18.5mm
- ERD: 604mm (Center Drilled)
- Weight: 579g (28h & 32h)
- Profile: 7.5° angular profile & drilling
Intended Use: E-MTB, and aggressive enduro riding

Whether you're covering more miles, taking on steeper climbs, or just enjoying a ride without limits, Fuse is there to support your every pedal along the way.

Confidence Under Power
Push hard without worrying about flex or failure—the Fuse is built to handle the forces of current and future E-MTB's.
Stronger, More Durable Build
Increased impact strength, additional nipple hole material, and overload designed laminate, specifically made for e-MTB use.

Optimized for Wide Tires
The 33mm internal width gives you the widest variety of tire choice. Run larger tires to increase traction for extra grip when fully throttled.
Built with Convergence
Convergence Technology is unlike any other rim design out there. Our articulated nipple holes align the spoke and nipple at a perfect angle. This reduces fatigue on the spoke and nipple connection points and provides less stress on the rim, providing next-level confidence in durability.

ERD ERD (Effective Rim Diameter) is the rim diameter at the point where the spokes sit. Knowing the ERD is essential for choosing spoke length for wheel building or replacing broken spokes.

DON'T TAKE OUR WORD FOR IT
THESE ARE SOME TOUGH RIMS
"What sets We Are One apart from the crowd is the impressive quality of the rim and the attention to detail that goes into the wheel build itself. The result is a tough and reliable wheelset that should last for season after season of hard use."
~ Mike Kazimer, Pinkbike
Wheel FAQs
Yes, all of our wheels are shipped tubeless ready with tape and valves installed. All you need to do is install a tire, add sealant and pump er up before hitting the trails!
115kgf on the High tension side. Front high tension is disk side and Rear high tension is drive side.
All We Are One rims are laced with a 2X lacing pattern for 29" wheels and a 3X lacing pattern for 27.5" wheels. After Thorough testing, we found that these lacing patterns bring out the best ride feel in our rims.
Our tension spec is 115kgf on the high tension side, front high tension is brake side and rear high tension is drive side. Please note that all tensiometers are unique so please be aware of how yours reads/translates tension.
At We Are One, we work with the most reliable hub manufacturers in the industry. You are able to select from hubs made by the fine folks at Industry Nine, Project 321, DT Swiss, Onyx and Hadley.
Freehubs can be a confusing world but rest assured, we've got you covered. We offer a freehub for any drivetrain you are specing you're wheelset around.
XD - SRAM
Microspline - Shimano - Generally found on newer, more expensive cassettes that are 11 or 12 speed.
HG - Shimano - Generally on more budget friendly cassettes and are more commonly found on older drivetrains (7 - 10 speed)
To confirm your driver it is best to remove your wheel and look up your cassette by referencing the part number on outer ring of the cassette. If you have any doubts please contact us, we're here to help!
The world of hub spacing can be somewhat daunting as there are an array of axel diameters and spacing options out there. You are likely buying a wheelset for a specific bike so the best way to confirm your hub spacing is to look up the make, model and year of your bike and confirm the spacing within the build spec.
Alternatively, you can remove your front and rear wheel, use a set of calipers and measure the axle hole diameter and hub width to determine your spec.
Below are the most common hub spacing specs:
Boost Front: 110x15
Boost Front DH: 110x20 (newer DH forks)
Boost Rear: 148x12
Super Boost Rear: 157x12
Road Front: 100x12
Road Rear: 142x12
If you have any questions or would like to confirm your hub spec you can Contact Us, we're here to help!
There are two brake mount options in the hub world: Six Bolt and Center lock.
In general, Six Bolt is the prefered brake mount for most mountain bike applications however certain disciplines like XC and Gravel often utilize a Center Lock setup. Center Lock shaves a bit of weight but can come at a durability sacrifice. With 6-bolt, Trailside maintenance is also a breeze with any standard T25 torque bit.
For higher speed riding or on technical terrain, we recommend a six bolt setup. If you are riding long distances on gravel or building up a weight conscious XC or trail bike and you are less worried about durability, we'd recommend going with a Center Lock setup.
All our rims are assembled with Sapim spokes and nipples.
By default, rims are laced with Sapim Race Spokes but you can upgrade to Sapim CX-Ray bladed spokes. CX-Ray bladed spokes are lightweight spokes that shave approximately 100g off your wheelset (based on 64 spokes), when compared to Sapim Race spokes. CX-Rays are known for their strength, flexibility and aerodynamic qualities. If you value weight savings and ride feel, CX-Rays are a great upgrade option.
Sapim makes by far the best nipple in the industry, and we exclusively build with their Polyax Secure Lock nipple. The shape of the Polyax nipple is ideal for building without nipple washers and provides the best possible nipple-to-spoke articulation we've found to date.
CX-Rays are a great weight saving tool for your wheelset, saving approximately 100 grams per wheelset (depending on your rim and hub configuration). The spokes also provide the same ride characteristics as our standard Race spokes.
